Students should be taught when working online to avoid problems the following:
To be not a digital citizen but a positive digital citizen , we should think before we post which means not to hide behind the screen and share things that we may afraid to say it out loud in our daily life so we must share we we share proudly and want to be in front of our full real name. We have to protect our privacy of what we share and to who may see it depending on the platform we share and the people can see since what we share on insta where we have our close friends and family may not like to share to our students or collegues. So, we take care of our privacy is a must. Always, we should change our passwords to minimize the probability of hacking of our info.
Integrating technology to teaching helps teacher to engage students more in the learning activities since using technology is teaching based o students interests which lead to effective teaching.
Also, it add excitement to the lesson through graphs, videos and other media which can be considered as intrinsic motivation to engage more. Using technology both students and teachers have easier access to materials , assignmemts , tests and resources especially if they are on the same pace such as google classroom or Classerra.
I see Classera is the most effective pace of teaching after my 3 years experience in 3 different paces.
As a math teacher, there is a case student that I have never forgotten. Although, this experience inspires me all the way in teaching. I had a Saudi Arabian student that I met 5 years ago in grade 6, she was very weak in the subject but she is nagging and talked all the time. She used to ask a lot of questions. I wondered about the case and how I should deal. I started to tell her, let's talk after the class and I will answer each and every question. I started from the level of grade 2 sending her videos to watch and learn. She did a great effort and by this way of her cognitive learning, she improved and move from the level of grade 2 to the level of grade 6 in math. I met her mother and she told me:'' she's bad at math, I know", I told her she is perfect moving from 5/20 to 15/20, and to do so, she made great efforts others need years to do it, she needs your encouragement". Now, she is in her first year of studying medicine and she always contacts me and I tell her," am so proud of you".
From that time, I learned to do my best for my students, encourage them and this may change my student's life forever.
1. I am learning to use effectively different google apps to improve my teaching skills and to add to my cv new skills am learning.
2.Each and every website and app we learn is more than useful.
3. I wish if we have better internet connection and maybe assistant to keep class more quiet and to monitor our work.
